It can accommodate 4 people in 2 bedrooms and can also have the sofa bed converted in the living room for an extra 1 person, plus two mobile baby cots that can be placed in any of the bedrooms. Located in the middle of a private olive grove, the house faces the Taygetos Mountain and is overlooking the Messinian bay with the eyes able to panoramically scan the whole area of Messinia, from Kalamata town to Koroni in a wonderful and calm scenery. From the upper veranda visitors can enjoy wonderful romantic dinners with great sea view hearing only the sound of the sea. The exterior has large balconies and big yards where visitors can enjoy wonderful sunny breakfasts, infants can safely play around and adults relax under the pine trees shadows with the sea breeze and singing cicadas soothing the Greek sun. Visitors can freely taste home-grown fruits, vegetables and herbs from the garden such as sweet figs, pears, grapes, green peppers and zucchinis, aubergines, carrots, basil, rosemary and oregano among others, while organic home produced olive oil is offered for free. Interaction with guests Someone of our family will welcome the guests upon arrival and farewell them upon check-out. Owner is always available within minutes via telephone, email or sms. Other things to note Petalidi village is close enough to accommodate with traditional restaurants and tavernas where someone can taste the traditional "gournopoula" (oven slow cooked pork), fresh fish and local products, mini markets, cafes, bakeries, bank and all type of shops, while at the same time it is hidden behind a small hill to let the eyes free to enjoy the nature. Close to the house is the Chelonaria beach where someone can embrace the warm sand and crystal clear waters at a non-organised beach which Caretta-Caretta turtles have chosen as one of their few birth-giving areas in the Mediterranean. Organized beaches with coffee-shops, beds and umbrellas are quite close to the house, while sea activities with sailing and jet skis can be found around the Petalidi area. The house location is ideal to organize small (within half an hour drive) excursions in Messinia as is in the middle of any distance, name it a visit to the big city of Kalamata town, known for its international modern dance festival, or name it a visit to the ancient castles of Koroni, Methoni and Pylos and the worldwide acclaimed ancient theatre of Messini where various quality events such as theatrical plays and concerts are occasionally taking place throughout the summer. Messinia offers a magical scenery to nature lovers with must-go visits to be the exotic Voidokoilia beach with ancient king Nestor references, the wetlands of "Gialova" a vital stop-over for migrating birds such as herons, ospreys young seagulls, african chameleons and various other feathered birds, Netha an ancient mythical stream with waterfall, rare natural grace, shadowy canyons and natural water swimming reservoirs, "Polylimnio" a dreamscape of 15 consecutive small lakes along with waterfalls and rich greenery.
