Peyia is a pretty village located on the hill above Coral Bay and has a real village vibe. Not overdeveloped, you are able to enjoy great traditional food in local tavernas. Peyia Tavern is particularly good. You can get everything in Peyia at local shops or supermarkets, and Peyia even has a local gym which you can use for a small fee ( on the main road down to Coral Bay on the right hand side) Coral Bay approximately is the well known beach resort for the Paphos district and has become a lively resort with plenty to offer in terms of amenities and activities. The center of the resort features a wide selection of restaurants offering both Cypriot and International Cuisines, cafes, bars, shops, a choice of supermarkets, several banks, a chemist and a laundry. The resort boasts two sandy beaches, the closest one to the villa being Corallia Bay, the quieter of the two. The popular and busy Coral Bay Beach, a sandy horseshoe shaped bay honoured with a Blue Flag of the European Union. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire, water sports are on offer and there are two beach cafes providing refreshments. You can enjoy water sports here. Untouched nature and clean beaches, orchards and banana plantations, fruit gardens surround this area of Paphos. Protected zone of Akamas National Park only 5 km from the villa. Popular zoo with birds park located in a few kilometers from the villa. All kinds of infrastructure, such as a supermarket, mini markets, various shops, bars, restaurants, bank, bus stop, childrens play center are within walking distance from the villa. For a taste of the more traditional, approximately a few kilometers away is the Church at St George which overlooks the modest fishing harbor from where you can enjoy some of the islands most memorable sunset views and enjoy a traditional Cypriot meze meal at one of the small selection of family run tavernas. For nature lovers the start of the protected Akamas Peninsula is just to the north of the village. Paphos Town approximately 15 kilometers away, was once the capital of the island is now included in the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the worlds heritage. The remains of villas, palaces, theaters, fortresses and tombs mean that the town is of exceptional architectural and historic value. The well preserved mosaics and the Tombs of the Kings are probably the biggest cultural draw with further archaeological discoveries continually being made. The Paphos Zoo and the Horse Riding Stables which cater for all ages are both within the Sea Caves area and only a few minutes drive away.
