Just a 22-minute drive away lies the stunning and renowned Doctors Cave Beach. This glistening beach received its name by being declared as having curative powers in the water. During the 1920s, famous British Osteopath Sir Herbert Barker stated that by bathing at this beach sick people could be restored to good health. Since then the location has become a must-visit for travellers from the all over the world. The picturesque white powdery sands lie perfectly against the clear blue sea. You may even spot some natives, look out for Nemo, Dory and Marlin fish! Doctors Cave Beach is ideal for a full day out as it contains the lively Sand Restaurant and Bar which is a great spot for music, drinks, food and best of all, relaxation in the midst of paradise. The islands staple food, jerk chicken is highly recommended here, as well as the tasty buttermilk fried chicken and the jerk platter, all washed down with Red Stripe lager, which they have on draft!
