The house is perfect for family reunions, hosting wedding guests, vacations, birthday and anniversary parties, girls or guys getaways, weve even had a movie made there. So much room and close to so much. Southern Maine is a very popular destination with Portland to the North, Old Orchard Beach 2.5 miles away and the very popular towns of Kennebunk, Wells, Ogunquit etc just to the south. We are 1.5 hours north of Boston and have an Amtrak train station 0.3 miles from the house it makes multiple daily trips to Boston and Portland and of course many other destinations as well. There are about 7 local ocean beaches within 5 miles of the house. Old Orchard Beach, Ferry Beach State Park, Bay View Beach, Pine Point, Scarborough Beach are some of the beaches. We are downtown and many fine local restaurants such as the Run of the Mill Public House and Brewery (my personal favorite) 1min/0.5miles, ICE (ice cream, coffee and art) 0.1 miles from the house, Josephs by the Sea a fine restaurant serving fresh seafood on the ocean, Quiero and terrific latin restaurant where every dish is homemade and has the best smoothies Ive ever had also with fantastic coffee, a local favorite. Four local breweries including Dirigo, Banded Horn, Barreled Souls and Run of the Mill Brewery and not far from Portland which is home to 17 breweries which include Allagash, Foundation, Bissel Brothers ...
