This stretch of the Amalfi Coast boasts an embarrassment of riches when it comes to bays, coves and beaches, and has been attracting holidaymakers since the Roman times. Your local hamlet minutes away is where youll find a sprinkling of shops, cafes, restaurants, a popular beach and a walk which leads you to an exquisite bay. Cool your feet off in the water before heading back to the hamlet, its uphill for less than one kilometre. The hidden beach, caves and restaurant at Recommone Bay can be reached via a footpath leading from the local beach. If you fancy a spot for lunch while youre here, try spaghetti alla Nerano; a delicious combination of pasta, cheese and aubergine. Day trips to Sorrento are only about half an hour away in the car, and from here, you can take a ferry across to the magical Isle of Capri.
