Even before entering the villa, you will be struck by the villas unique architecture and spacious terrace area which features a shaded dining area to seat 12 guests. The elegantly curved infinity pool is approximately 60 square metres in area and can be heated at certain times of the year. The villa’s entrance brings you into a spectacular open-plan living, dining and kitchen area with an almost full glass frontage. On this level, there is one double bedroom with en-suite wet room and access to a small private terrace and garden area. Up on the first floor, reached by a stylish marble staircase, are three more spacious bedrooms (two doubles and twin), each with an en-suite wet room. The main bedroom has lovely sea views, with a large curved window and a balcony. The second double bedroom on this floor has a Juliet balcony plus access to a terrace area. The twin bedroom has a balcony. Another level up is a further twin bedroom, with an en-suite wet room and a spacious roof terrace with stunning views. At lower ground floor level, is another twin bedroom with an en-suite wet room and access to a secluded rear terrace area. The real surprise of the villa is at the lower ground level, where a large room has been designed to offer all sorts of leisure activities which include table tennis, billiard table, gym equipment (cross trainer, treadmill, exercise bike) and a TV + DVD area. This enormous area has its own WC and basin and small windows have been fitted to allow some natural light in while keeping the area cool. The walk to Kalkan’s public beach and the harbour area (with its array of quality restaurants) will take approximately 12-15 minutes. There is also a pathway that runs from Kömurlük to the public beach and harbour area which will take about 10 minutes, however this is pretty rough underfoot. Alternatively, you can access the harbour via water taxis from nearby Palm or Zest beach clubs. These popular beach clubs offer direct access to the sea via spacious sundecks and Palm Beach Club also has a small private pebbly beach, while Zest Beach Club has a swimming pool. Sun loungers and parasols are available for hire and each beach club also has an excellent sea view restaurant. Points to note: - Villa Gozcu is fully air-conditioned - All bedrooms have access to a private external seating area - Satellite TV, DVD player and WiFi internet access provided - Twice weekly clean and linen change (ie – if staying for 1 week, a mid-stay clean and linen change are provided. If staying for 2 weeks, a clean and linen change are carried out roughly every 3rd or 4th day) Beach towels are provided for guests use - A welcome pack is provided on arrival - Bottled water is provided via the drinks dispenser on the Fridge in the kitchen and a separate water dispenser in the basement. - Villa Gozcu has a security alarm system and a large safe installed Pool heating is available at this villa - extra costs apply. In-house catering can be arranged at this villa Shopping deliveries can be arranged IMPORTANT NOTE: At the time of writing (March 2021), the views from this property have changed as some new properties have been constructed on the plot of land in front of the villa. One of these properties has unfortunately affected the view towards the harbour from Villa Gozcu’s pool terrace. There are still good sea views from the corner section of the pool out towards the open sea and the views from the upper floors of the villa and the roof terrace are still excellent. To counteract the changed views at pool level, the owner has installed a decked area to the side of the pool terrace in a position that makes the most of the sea views that can still be seen across the left-hand corner of the pool. A seating area has been created on this decking. The owner has also built a furnished terrace on top of the pergola where the dining table is situated - this provides a lovely vantage point from which to enjoy a drink and take in the views towards the town and harbour. In keeping with Gozcus stone architecture, the owner has also built a wall to screen the new property which creates a courtyard effect in that corner of the terrace (providing privacy). At this point, we dont have images to show what the finished product looks like but we do know that the owner has an expert management team in place to oversee these these improvements and are confident that they have maximised the remaining views to very good effect. We’re sure that Villa Gozcu will remain a firm favourite with our guests despite the changes to the view.
