Dubrovnik Old Towns picturesque shops, restaurants and historic sights will charm you. There is a fantastic atmosphere if you can get a table for lunch or dinner in the delightful marina and port. This up-market destination is incredibly popular and you will see why! There are 3 entrances to the walled city of Dubrovnik – Pile which is the main gate, Ploca by the port and Buze between the 2. Buze Gate will take you in via steep staircases. Placa Stradun is the wide, flat main street running the length of the city. The market in Gundulic Square sells mainly candied orange peels and figs which are classic there. You can take a ferry to Lokrum Island between May and September. Alternatively, you could cross the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina and take in the stunning natural beauty of Mostar, with its iconic bridge spanning the meandering river below. Along the way, you could stop at the religious pilgrimage site of Medjugore and the UNESCO-listed city of Pocitelj. Spending a day in charming Montenegro exploring the natural beauty and historical cities of Petast and Kotor is incredible.
