THE SPACE: The Beach Style Annexe although small, its quirky, quaint and compact. ( 22ft long and 8ft wide with a kitchen of 5ft square and shower room of 5ft square. Similar size to an average 2 berth static caravan. ) Ideal for us and our two small doggies! Therefore, would suit singles or couples and a maximum of 2 small very friendly, well behaved dogs or 1 medium size, well behaved, friendly dog. ( Unfortunately, we can not except dogs on The Dangerous Dog List. ) St Eval Estate/village is an ideal place for doggies as there are several green communal areas on the estate that are suitable for walking and playing with your dog. No charge on doggies at the moment but, please inform me if you are bringing your pet. Of course, it’s ideal for singles and couples without doggies too! It is accessed via a rear gate from the main garden. It has an open plan bedroom and lounge area that is separated by a 3/4 wall division. The Lounge contains a TV and DVD player. It has a small kitchenette and shower room. Kitchenette facilities are - Small Fridge/freezer, Portable Swan Retro Mini Oven, (no full standing oven) 2 Ring Portable Electric Plug in Hob, Lavazza coffee maker, Washing machine, Dryer, Iron board and iron, Indoor and outdoors foldaway clothes airer. Free WIFI. TV - via Amazon fire stick, includes: Amazon prime, BBC I player and radio, Netflix, ITV hub , U tube and Channel 4. Please do not purchase any films etc. Please view films that are inclusive. Small table on casters which can be wheeled out as a dinning table. Fresh linen. Electric heaters supplied - The central heating is connected and controlled by the main house but, not independently from The Beach Style Annexe. Should the main house occupant not have the central heating on during any cold spells there is a independent electrical heater in the Lounge/Bedroom. Outside at the rear - Enclosed garden, with deck and bistro set table and chairs. A BBQ area with a built in concrete slab top designed for disposable or bucket BBQs. It contains a seat and BBQ tongs, all available to use. There are a few disposable BBQs in the property which you are welcome to use providing they are replaced. A water hose for washing off wetsuits or dirty doggies! An outside trug can be found in the outside storage compartment and ideal for wetsuits etc, alongside with outside brushes to sweep the deck, if needed etc. A grey storage box is situated on the deck for those outside items, ie dirty shoes, wellies etc that need to be dry and left outside. Outside the entrance gates of the rear garden is a large communal green area, ideal for playing with your dog. There are Doggy Poo bins provided on all communal green areas. Also, to the right of the communal green area you will see a opening in the bush, take a walk through it, as its ‘ The Saint Eval Community Land Project ‘ and it’s a lovely area to walk through. Front area -Tarmac and pebbled drive way for parking. GUEST ACCESS: To gain entrance to The Beach Style Annexe is via the back garden. Private parking is directly in front of The Beach Style Annexe. Please see photos! Suitable parking space for larger vehicles and enough space for trailers etc. To enter, a small walk is required approx. 100 yards from where you would park your car. I suggest bringing a torch for night time and especially if you are arriving in the evening. Also, for possible rainy days it may be necessary to bring footwear that is suitable for grass and possibly mud. Dont forget your doggie towels!! Entrance to the rear garden is via double gates leading to the patio entrance doors. You will be sent a pin number for the key safe, 24 hours prior to arrival and simple instructions on how to get to the main entrance. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: We limit it to 3 nights minimum stay to 2 weeks maximum stay, except for peak times around the middle of July and the first week in September - when minimum stay is 5 nights. A £35 cleaning fee per stay is charged. We only open for guests 7 months of the year, from Easter to the end of October and Christmas - New Year. No charge for doggies at the moment. We suggest a car as being your main transport, although there are buses, they are limited to certain destinations and there is so much to see and visit in Cornwall! There are doggie Poo Bins available on the estate communal green areas for your use. There is a local Post Office and convenience shop at St Eval and a Chocolate Factory/Shop situated by Rick Steins Office complex. Supermarkets and other facilities can be found in nearby Padstow and other areas like St Columb Major, Newquay and Wadebridge. Truro City is also just under an hour away! Amenity Limitation - Mobile phone signal can be limited indoors depending on mobile provider but, if you go to the end of the garden sometimes that works or head towards the Post Office/Shop and it normally improves. At peak times: holiday times, a little bit more noise can be heard as it is on the estate with Neighbouring houses having children playing and in their gardens and/or neighbours having friends over and enjoying time together. Please, this can be a comfort for yourselves as the neighbouring atmosphere is relaxed. However, I have strict Policies in place for guests staying especially with regard to noise after 9.30pm as most of the houses are occupied by families with young children and deserve respect. The Beach Style Annexe is in the grounds of the main house, attached to the main house and situated between two neighbouring houses. WHERE YOU WILL BE: Saint Eval, England, United Kingdom St Eval is an ex RAF base, which was a prominent RAF command station during World War 11. The original village was demolished due to a compulsory purchase order in 1938 and all that remains is the Historic Church which dates back to 13th Century. All the houses on the estate are now in private ownership and it is a very lovely area to stay. If you love walking/trekking, try the scenic walk to the beautiful coastline and coastal foot paths. i.e. Only 2 1/2miles to Porthcothan Beach! Or a very short drive to it - 5 minutes! At St Eval its worth visiting Kernow Chocolate Factory/shop as its delicious chocolate and makes lovely gifts for family and friends. The Dragon Bar is open on Friday and Saturday evening for food. It is an easy drive distance to lovely popular beaches and only a 10-15 minutes drive to lovely Padstow! It really is a haven for beach lovers, coastal walkers, dog walkers and of course a surfers paradise. GETTING AROUND: The best way is by car, however very close to bus stops. The Beach Style Annexe is 15 minutes off the A30. Porthcothan Beach is 2 1/2 miles away - 5 minutes drive. Very close to Watergate Beach and the Seven bays of St Merryn - Treyarnon Bay, Constantine Bay etc Approx. 4.6 miles, 9 minutes to Treyarnon Bay. Via B3276. Approx. 5.9 miles, 12 minutes to Constantine Bay. Via B3276. Close to Newquay Airport ( 10 minutes away ) St Eval Candle Factory/Shop is close buy, so worth a look! Local Post Office and convenience shop with free parking at St Eval. Approx. 5 miles driving to Padstow, 10 minutes in light traffic, B3274, A389. Approx. 8 miles driving to Newquay, 23 minutes in light traffic, 30 minutes in more moderate traffic. A3058, B3276 Approx. 10.7 miles driving to Wadebridge, 21 minutes in light traffic, 27 minutes in more moderate traffic. A39, B3274. Approx. 22.7 miles driving to Truro, 38 minutes in light traffic, 45 minutes in moderate traffic. A39, A30. Enjoy your stay ...we always do!
