Because the house is surrounded by four national parks, it is ideal for walkers, bird watchers and nature lovers. At about 12 kilometers away in Alanno is a 9 hole golf course, which is nice playable. It is wonderful to cycle on quiet roads. Visiting ancient cities such Chieti and Sulmona, the birthplace of Ovid, monasteries such as Abbazia di San Clemente a Casauria in Torre dei Passeri, castles like Castello Aragonese di Ortona in the park of Gran Sasso is recommended. The hermitage from the year 1000, San Bartolomeo in Legio, is worth a visit.
