North Tawton is a farming town in Mid Devon. Close to Okehampton and Crediton, with easy access to Dartmoor National Park. It is 20 minutes from Exeter and within driving distance of Exmoor and the North Devon Coast, Bodmin and North Cornwall, and the South Coast. North Tawton itself is a friendly small town, with local shops, chemist, doctors surgery and a park with childrens play areas. There are local walks along the Taw River. The Town has four pubs, most offer food, there is a cafe offering breakfast and lunch and several takeaways, including Graylings an award winning Fish and Chips shop. There are many country pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area. The small local town of Chagford, on the way to Dartmoor, holds markets, festivals and events. Places to visit on Dartmoor include Postbridge, Widecombe in the Moor, Hay Tor, Princetown (Dartmoor prison) and Tavistock. South Devon Miniature Railway is near Buckfast Abbey. Teignmouth, Totnes, Torquay and Plymouth are across the Moor along the A38. There are many interesting walks across the Moor and circular walks to suit all. For relaxed days there is a garden with barbecue area and patio with furniture, parasols and summer house. Help yourself to fresh veg, fruit and herbs. There is a fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and gas hob. There is a playstation 3, DVD player and music centre in the living room. Free Sat TV, Netflix, iPlayer and Amazon TV. The TV also has google Chrome for casting Now TV and other apps. Bedlinen and towels are provided. Up to 2 pets are welcome.
