Set in a glorious hilltop location, not overlooked, with beautiful views over the sea this traditional countryside private villa still retains the rural character that was typical of a family home just a handful of decades ago. The villa has been restored and improved over time but still retains a cosy customary atmosphere. The villa has a total of 6 bedrooms, 4 on the ground floor and 2 on the 1st floor. All with a rustic décor, with Sta. Catarina tiles and some recovered pieces of old furniture. On the ground floor, the first bedroom has a double bed and welcoming warm colours. The second bedroom has two single beds which can be joined to form 1 double bed. These two bedrooms, number one and number two, share a bathroom with bath. Still on the ground floor, the bedroom number three and four have 2 single beds each. One is decorated in pink and green and has room for 2 more temporary beds if necessary. The other, smaller, has a trundle bed. Both share a bathroom with shower, which is next door. On the 1st floor we find the fifth bedroom, the master en-suite bedroom, vividly decorated, air conditioned, with a bathroom with a bathtub. This bathroom also has a sliding door providing access to a terrace with a couple of sun loungers, it offers moments of privacy and a beautiful view of the pool and the hills and the sea over the horizon. Also on the 1st floor, there’s the sixth bedroom with double bed, air conditioning and plenty of natural light and access to a private terrace. This one also has a private bathroom with a bathtub. The fully equipped kitchen also follows the traditional trait, with a large chimney where, formerly, the family meals were prepared. The stone sink is also a remnant of the old rural and genuine Algarve. Adjacent to the kitchen is the laundry room which is equipped with a washing machine. From the kitchen we follow the corridor onto the dining room, with a large table for indoor meals, naturally lit by the several sliding glass doors providing access to the outdoor area. The corridor from the kitchen also connects to the entrance hall and a small secondary living area which has a traditional fireplace, cobbled floor and a rustic decor with some antiques. The large main living room, decorated in warm tones, has TV with English spoken channels and internet access via WI-FI. The large sliding doors provide plenty of light to the room as well as a view and access to the garden and the pergola just outside the door. The garden surrounding the house is quite large and flat, offering several different areas of recreation and leisure. The flora is composed of several palm trees, many different shrubs and flower beds, some fruit trees and a large olive tree that provides a refreshing shade over some garden benches and swings. The beautiful lawn in the front garden has football posts, badminton nets and allows the practice of a wide variety of games for everyone. The swimming pool is very generous in size, with 12.50 meters in length, 6.5 meters wide and a depth of between 2.80 and 1.10 meters. Scattered alongside the pool there are many sun loungers and other pieces of outdoor furniture, perfect to relax or just to enjoy a session of sunbathing. Just outside the living room there’s a shaded area with a table tennis table and a mini football table for some competitive fun. Right next to it is a leisure area overlooking the pool, with comfortable outdoor sofas and shaded by a pergola structure. Perfect to have a drink or read a good book. The outdoor dining area, also with a view towards the whole of the garden and the pool, provides the perfect setting for delicious al-fresco meals. It has plenty of shade, seating for everyone in the party and a great charcoal BBQ just next to the table. There’s 2 or more parking spots inside the property.
