Convento Inn is a characterful property steeped in royal history. The Inn is set in a convent dating back to the 16th century, perched on a clearing overlooking the fertile lands of the Leziria and the Tagus River. With everything you would expect in a countryside retreat, it exudes a feeling of serenity and wellbeing. The building itself is quite unusual. The style is an unconventional narrative resulting from a mixture of Antiques and Modern Art set within the timeless simplicity of the convent structure, to create an elegant space that is both charming and unusual. While each and every suite is distinct, all feature comfortable beds, warm and soothing décor, antiques, unique art and some suites also include ?replaces. All Accommodations are located on the ?rst ?oor, accessible through a ?ight of stairs. There are 4 Suites with private bathrooms on the north wing and 2 bedrooms sharing a bathroom located in a private corridor of the west wing. It can accommodate 8 people, with a maximum occupancy of 12 under special occasions. We offer a daily maid service, and there is also a pantry stocked with homemade cookies, fruits, coffee and tea freely available to all guests. Shoe shinning and laundry services are available upon request. Wi-Fi access is limited but available free of charge, throughout the property wherever the structure of the building and the thickness of the convent walls allows. There is no Television at the property. The main lounge is located in the re-purposed space of the old church building and is a fantastic space devoted to the Arts. Comfy couches and armchairs are arranged in an elegant and comfortable ambience softening the imposing minimalism of the church walls. Our breakfast and dinning rooms, feature beautiful art pieces, large tables and ?replaces. On the warmer days, guests can enjoy dinning in the outdoor terraces or in our sitting area open to the Cloister. We provide privacy, warmth and beautiful views of the local countryside.
