Rugged cliffs and secluded coves give the beaches of Carvoeiro plenty of character, with rock formations that have become attractions in their own right. Take a boat trip to see the caves of Praia de Benagil, where a circular ‘eye opening gives sight of a small beach hidden inside. Speaking of beaches, Praia da Marinha is considered one of the worlds most beautiful, with incredibly transparent waters, and Praia da Carvoeiro itself is also very pleasing.
