This lovely town offers a range of restaurants and shops, as well as banks and a post office. Its also a great place to take a break from shopping and sightseeing and enjoy spectacular views over the Gulf of Naples. One of the nearest beaches is at Marina di Puolo. This traditional fishing village offers a quiet, sandy stretch to relax on and calm waters for swimming. Its also well-known for its seafood cuisine, with many restaurants putting tables right on the beach for you to enjoy an authentic experience. Other great beaches within easy reach include Giardino Romantico and Mitigliano Beach. Giardino Romantico boasts a range of facilities, such as sun lounger hire, a bar selling food and drinks, showers, toilets and changing rooms. The pretty coastal town of Sorrento is just a 25-minute drive away. Its famous for its lemons, with lots of shops selling lemon-themed souvenirs as well as local crafts along its charming streets. The old town is full of historic buildings to marvel at, such as a bell tower, monastery, cathedral, and the 14th-century church Chiesa di San Francesco. One of the most popular places to stop for a drink and do some people watching is Piazza Tasso, which is lined with cafes, ice cream shops, restaurants and bars. Ancient sites and natural wonders are ideal for longer days out. The archaeological site of Pompeii is an hour away by car, with the journey to majestic Mount Vesuvius taking around 90 minutes.
