San Rafael is quaint and peaceful with a lovely old whitewashed church and excellent panoramic views towards Ibiza Town and the sea. It is just 5 minutes from the charming village of San Rafael and roughly halfway between Ibiza Town and San Antonio. It only takes 15 minutes to get into Ibiza Town, and within half an hour, you can be visiting most of the islands gorgeous beaches. If you are artistic, you will really appreciate the pottery shops in San Rafael. You could even attend a workshop or course and could keep the ancient traditions alive. There are some highly original ceramic pieces in the shops. There is a good selection of restaurants in this quaint and peaceful village. The countryside all around is very pretty with red earth fields, brightly coloured bougainvillaea and pretty, whitewashed villas. San Rafael is an oasis of calm.
