Close to Casa Demuth is the charming town of San Jose in the foothills of Sa Talaia, the highest mountain on the island which measures 475m. The town boasts a very good selection of restaurants and shops and a fabulous Saturday morning market where around 20 stalls offer local, and organic produce including fruit, vegetables, home-made bread and pastries and local artists sell paintings, ceramics and sculptures. The wonderful Cala Conta Beach has two main coves, one backed by a rugged Jurassic coastline and the other by picturesque sand dunes. The beach has several welcoming bars and restaurants and offers the most spectacular views, particularly at sunset. Cala Contita is Cala Contas little sister beach and just south of that is the famous, mythical ‘Rave Cave. This is home to the Ibiza Rave in Cave parties and holistic yoga sessions. On the hill above Cala Codolar, is Ibiza-Henge, a monument with 13 huge Basalt columns arranged in a semi-circle which vaguely resembles Stonehenge.
