Whilst centrally located and just a short walk from everything Whitby has to offer, this beautiful holiday home is tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Sleeping up to 8 guests, Adventure House is perfect for family holidays at the seaside. This dog-friendly bolthole will have everything you need for a relaxing and fun-filled coastal getaway. The Space: Adventure House has been lovingly refurbished to create a homely yet stylish space. With clean and charming interiors, this stunning holiday home provides the perfect base for exploring Whitby. The spacious open plan kitchen and dining room is the hub of the house. Pale sage cabinets are complemented with light wood worktops to create a quaint, country style kitchen. The statement black, range cooker contrasts perfectly with the vintage style tiles above. Complete with a kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge, dishwasher and coffee maker, the kitchen is fully equipped for all self-catering stays. The dining area features a white wooden table and matching chairs. Blending seamlessly with the country style of the kitchen, the furniture works well within the open plan space. Whether you’re dining with family or friends, you can enjoy home cooked meals or tuck into a takeaway in this very spot. Head to the living room and you’ll find a cosy and welcoming space. With two comfy sofas and an armchair, you can retreat here at the end of your day to spend quality time with your loved ones. Whether you’re playing games or watching the flat screen TV, you’ll soon relax in this space. With crisp white walls and light wood furniture, there is a calming and restful feel. The houses’ original charm is retained with its striking fireplace which works wonderfully in the otherwise modern room. Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find two bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom boasts a comfortable double bed and an en-suite shower room with WC. The second bedroom also features a comfy double bed with premium bedding and crisp linens. You can expect the same attractive look as the rest of the house in both spaces. The family bathroom features a bath with overhead shower, WC and basin. On the second floor, there are a further two bedrooms and a cloakroom with a WC and hand basin. In one room, you’ll find a comfortable king size bed and sloped ceilings to create a really cosy space. Youll also have spectacular views of Whitby Abbey from the window. The second bedroom is a twin and features beautiful, flowered wallpaper. Guest Access: Guests have access to the full house. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. Please note Adventure House has three floors so guests will need to climb several sets of stairs within the property. We provide a parking scratch card for your stay which gives you free parking in the W zones in Whitby. Additional free parking can be found nearby, and full details will be sent to you before check in. Interaction with Guests: We’re always available for our guests so please don’t hesitate to get in touch. The Neighborhood: Adventure House is located in the iconic Flowergate - one of the oldest and most historic streets in Whitby. You’ll find cosy cafes, restaurants and shops lining the street, so the apartment is ideally located. The Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade is just a short 5-minute walk from the property. On Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day. The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’. Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks. Getting Around: Adventure House is located in the centre of Whitby so the town can easily be explored on foot. Whitby train station is just a short 10-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station. There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm. Other Things to Note: We welcome one well-behaved dog at Adventure House.
