A 250 year-old olive oil press has been recently restored to create an elegant boutique-style villa that combines discreet rural chic with all the amenities that holidaymakers expect. Guests in all three accommodation units share a luxurious lounge and kitchen as well as the courtyard and garden with its secluded private swimming pool. The name The name "Athermigo" derives from the traditional olive pressing process that is typical of the locality. The three deluxe accommodation units are named after the trees on the property: Elia (Olive tree), Rodia (Pomegranate tree) and Karydia (Walnut tree). Elements such as the main entrance, the stone openings, the interior patio, the traditional exterior oven (where the reception area of the Villa is located), the well and the semi-circular arches typical of the architecture of the time, as well as the original oil extraction machinery, have all been preserved intact. This renovation process resulted in a luxurious and contemporary villa complex. Villa Athermigo, consists of a traditional olive press, which has been transformed into a living room, kitchen and dining area and comprises of three autonomous deluxe cottages, named after the trees that grace their entrances: The Elia (Olive tree), Rodia (Pomegranate tree) and Karydia (Walnut tree) suites, that can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests in total and all exhibit the same refreshing style and attention to detail. Elia Cottage Elia, a two-storey Cottage of 50 m2, may accommodate up to four people. It has a double built-in bed, a walk-in closet, a writing desk with fireplace as well as a bathroom with shower on the ground floor. An internal staircase leads to the upper loft-style floor, which offers a second bedroom with two single beds. Rodia Cottage Rodia, a two-storey Cottage of 80 m2, is the most spacious and may accommodate up to four people. It has a king size bed and a bathroom, with both a tub and a shower on the ground floor. Karydia Cottage Karydia, a ground level cottage of 40 m2, may accommodate up to two people.
