No.18 Ellerthwaite is located in the iconic town of Windermere, With a mire 90 – second walk from the town centre. Where you will find an array of café’s, bars, restaurants and quirky independent shops. Closest of all is the well-known Home Ground cafe, renowned for being the best place to brunch in the whole of the Lake District. Exploration and brunch over, it is then time to head down to Lake Windermere, found on the shores of equally iconic Bowness-on-Windermere, where you can again find more fantastic shopping and a thriving cafe and bar culture for you to enjoy. Rounding your afternoon off, take a leisurely walk along the glebe or, if your feeling more adventurous a boat ride on one of the many lake cruisers, alternatively, hire a private boat for a more personal experience and live out any sea fairing pirate fantasies you might have had as a child. This property truly finds the perfect balance between being in the thick of the hustle and bustle of a town and with its ever so slightly set back location, the quite tranquillity of country life. The Space: Set on a quiet street of Windermere, you enter the property grounds through an iron gate and down a few steps that lead through a small but wild garden. Then greeted by its instantly recognisable red door, where you will enter into a simplistically decorated hallway. Off to the left, you will find the property’s cosy living room which has been kitted with modern Scandinavian inspired furnishings, accomplished by carefully chosen accent pieces. An open log burning fire is the focal point of the room, which is adorned by a 55’inch Smart Tv, where you can watch movies on one of the many streaming services that you hold accounts for. Alternatively use the same Tv to listen to music while you play a game of cards and enjoy a bottle of wine, which is left as a complimentary gift from us to you. However, like any time spent with friends and family, you will always find yourself in the kitchen, cooking food or chatting. Therefore, again, we have carefully chosen pieces which follow in the Scandinavian feel found throughout this property. All to embrace the Scandinavian concept of Hygge. Light coloured furniture and interesting lighting gives the room a real sense of intrigued. Mirrors cover an entire wall to again bring a light and spacious feeling to an already sizable room. The kitchen its-self is equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm and enjoy your evening of eating and drinking with friends, family and loved ones. Again this room is equipped with a smart Tv, whether you’re having breakfast and want to watch the morning news unfold, or play music while you have dinner, this space is set for any time of day or scenario. Leading out the back door of the kitchen you will find the outside seating area, where there is a decking area with comfortable table and chairs to enjoy the sunshine, have dinner or enjoy a cold one. This outside area is also home to where you will find the crown jewel of this property, the Hot Tub! Big enough for 4 people, you and your companions can enjoy the lavish life in style. Celebrate, relax, and enjoy. Time for bed. After a long day of relaxing and adventure, you will be happy to find both spacious bedrooms are fitted with wonderfully comfortable King Size beds for you to continue your relaxation. Both rooms are kitted with Smart Tv’s, giving you the option to watch a movie or three as you fall asleep. Again, both bedrooms have been decorated with a Scandinavian influence, both include a feature headboard, made simply from locally source slices of trees, something that is unique to this property. The master bedroom takes this even further with a bespoke feature wall, something we like to call “The Forest” taking the idea of bringing the outside in, to a more literal level of meaning. Each room is designed with lighting and materials in mind to induce a good night’s sleep, so you feel fresh for the next day of fun and activities. Shower time. The bathroom Is a simple space that is home to a bath shower, where you either quickly get ready before a day of exploration or, take some time to soak in the tub with a glass of something. However, do not worry if you take that little extra time pampering yourself, as there is a second W.C downstairs for any guests to use while you relax. Guest Access: The property has private parking for two cars, found at the back of the property. The Property is a 90-second walk form the town centre and a 6-minute walk from Windermere train station. We are pet friendly. However, please only allow them in the downstairs of the property. Also, the property boarder is currently not “dog proofed” however, it soon will be in the coming weeks. So please watch your Furry friends when letting them out. (If the above statement is still up, please presume this is the current situation.) Children are more than welcome. Please be aware that the hot tub is legally only allowed for 16+ years of age. Late check out is available for a cost of £20, which is to be left in an honest box found at the property. Wheelchair access is unfortunately not available, as there is steps at both the front and rear access points of the property and the property is spread over two floors, with both bedrooms and main bathroom upstairs. Other Things to Note: Please be aware that the hot tub is legally only allowed for 16+ years of age and the tub should not be used after 10:30PM. A Deposit of £100.00 is to be charged on the date of arrival and returned one day post check out. This is charged to the card used to secure the booking. Please see listed below additional charges that may be applied to your booking upon request: We are pet friendly. However, this is subject to an additional fee of £10.00 per evening, per pet. Late check out is available for a cost of £10, which is to be left in an honesty box found at the property.
