Atrani is a simple but delightful tiny sea village , situated between the sea and the high cliffs. It covers a territory of only 1 square km and is considerate the smallest municipality in Europe. The town is still that of Middle Ages and it is very well kept: narrow alleyways with vaults and arches, typical scalinatelle ( small staircases) leading to small squares , the main village square with cafes , restaurants and kids playing around it and a small beach surrounded by white houses. It assure a rare quiet for a village of the coast with no crowds of tourists but, at the same time, offers everything necessary for a comfortable stay : excellent restaurants , shops and supermarkets, bus stops , delightful outdoor cafes and sandy beach. Villa Paradiso is split on two levels and has been recently renovated by preserving the beauty of the painted arch shaped ceiling in the living room. The interiors are very luminous , welcoming , tastefully and elegantly furnished with some furniture in the Mediterranean style mixed up with antique pieces. With air conditioning and central heating in all rooms, Villa Paradiso it suitable for occupation at any time of year. The main attraction of the house is the large terrace with stunning sea view. It is decorated with jars filled with flowers and small palm trees, dining and living outdoors area shaded by retractable awnings, sun loungers and outdoor shower. From the terrace you will enjoy one of the best view over the town, the picturesque inlet of the coast, and the blue Mediterranean sea. You will not need a car to stay at Villa Paradiso. The bus stop for the local buses is at only few meters far from the apartment; ferries and hydrofoils to Capri, Positano, Salerno, Sorrento etc leave from the tourist port of Amalfi . Accommodation is on two floors: about about 130 sq. meters indoor, 250 sq. meters of terrace. Ground Floor Upon entry, you find yourself in a spacious room elegantly furnished and divided into a living room, a dining area and a kitchen corner. The living area is adorned by arch shaped ceilings, antique wooden furniture, large wicker sofas sitting 6 people around a glass topped coffee table , two armchairs, Nice paintings, colorful ceramic lamps, satellite TV and other cozy belongings makes the ambiance intimate. Adjacent to the sitting/dining room is a service bathroom and a very well equipped built-in kitchen . The small bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board The kitchen includes a nice wooden dining table seating up to 6 people. The kitchen is complete with all of the modern conveniences and appliances such as an espresso machine, toaster, microwave, four burner electric stove top, oven, double sinks, an espresso machine, a dishwasher, and a large refrigerator with freezer The kitchen is perfect for cooking for yourself, or having the villa’s private chef prepare a meal on-site for you and your guests. This entire floor opens out to the terrace which runs the length of the villa and features a stunning sea view extending towards the entire coastline, absolutely spectacular especially in the evening, when the coastline and the town of Atrani are both lit up while the days small fishing boats slowly pass by. The terrace boasts a very comfortable and inviting patio equipped with a seating area and dining area covered with a retractable awning . Outdoor furnishings include wickers sofas with cushions sitting 8 people , 4 lounge chairs, 2 sun umbrellas and a table with chairs that can accommodate up to 6 people. There is also a large outdoor shower. On the right of the living area, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom is light and airy. It is equipped with a double bed, two handmade painted bedside tables, large wardrobe, television with satellite TV, a drawers and a wicker armchair. This bedroom offers direct access to the main terrace through a French door but also features access to a small balcony facing the old tower of Amalfi and a the blue sea. The second bedroom in the blue color is a twin bedroom (easily convertible into a double if necessary) with a French door leading to a small balcony with sea view. This bedroom features a wardrobe, a bookcase and a drawers. The two bedrooms share a spacious bathroom with a shower, a washbasin, a bidet and a toilet. First-Level Floor A flight of steps (about 18 steps) ,paved with cotto tiles, brings you up to an independent area with a span-roof . This floor hosts a living area with a wicker sofa , a lovely bedroom and a full bathroom. The large bedroom features a double bed with 2 bedside tables, a drawer, a wicker armchair and windows with sea views. The bathroom, in the white and yellow colors, has a full stall shower, a washbasin, a bidet, a toilet and a windows opening onto the downstairs terrace. An additional six steps takes to the rooftop terrace with an extra outdoor seating area equipped with wicker chairs for 4 people shaded with a sun umbrella. Access: Villa Paradiso is located on the second and last floor of an ancient building with no elevator.From the street level, approximately 70 stairway steps takes to the main door of the apartment. Distances : The major attractions , shops and restaurants of central Atrani are within few minutes walk . Regular bus service operates from the nearest bus stop (20 meters away) to the other towns in the region. To enjoy the beach you need not to walk far: Atrani beach is just two flights of steps below the villa. Amalfi 1 km , Ravello 5 Km, Scala 5 Km, Sorrento 35 Km, Salerno 27 Km, Positano 22 Km, Naples airport 60 Km, Rome Fiumicino 320Km From April untill end of October, ferries and hydrofoils ply daily from Amalfi to Capri (1½ h.), Positano (20 min.), Naples ( 2 h.) Sorrento ( 1 ½ h) Ischia (2½ h) and Salerno (1 h.)
