Arbroath Country House is a large holiday home on a grand scale. Guest feedback compares staying here to Downton Abbey, guests enjoy imagining how it would feel to be the Laird or Lady of the house, the stunning property certainly evokes unique and special memories. There are lots of communal areas from the grand drawing room to the more informal table tennis room so plenty of space for whole group to socialise together, making this an ideal choice for a family reunion. There are five reception rooms in all, a drawing room, library, snooker room, table tennis room and atrium. High ceilings and large windows were a feature of Victorian homes and youll not be disappointed here. The decor is as you would expect in a stately home of this nature and is ornate yet comfortable. The kitchen is large, with a central dining table comfortably seating fourteen for breakfast or perhaps childrens high tea. To make catering for a large number easier, there are two range cookers (an AGA and an electric range) and professional dishwashers and catering can be arranged for a special meal or the whole stay if required. The large dining room has floor to ceiling sash windows overlooking the garden, providing ample light during the day. Its antique mahogany table comfortably seats up to eighteen guests – this number can be increased to twenty-eight by extending the table at both ends. More intimate meals can be taken around the large country pine dining table in the kitchen which can seat up to twelve. Perfect for breakfasts and childrens supper. There are fourteen bedrooms and nine bathrooms accommodating groups of up to twenty-eight, spread across the first and second floor. The first bedroom is situated on the ground floor and is therefore ideal for any guests with mobility issues.
