The island experiences more sunny days on average that those islands located in the Andaman Sea. There is no lengthy rainy season. It is a beautiful island boasting tranquil beaches, the buzz of famous Chaweng Beach, fantastic restaurants, glorious coconut groves, lush mountainous rain forest, buddas galore and incredible coral reefs. Nature imitates art with the natural geological formations known as Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks (Grandpa and Grandma rocks).
