The Jungle Retreat, Hikkaduwa is a beautiful self-contained studio apartment that is part of a home owned by a lovely Sri Lankan family. It is 2km inland from the coast and is west facing for gorgeous sunset views over paddy fields. Nigh time is filled with the relaxing rich sounds of the surrounding jungle! The apartment is accessed by a private staircase at the side of the owners house and has a large double bed with a mosquito net and ceiling fan. The spacious terrace has a large dining table and comfortable chairs to relax in. The fully-fitted kitchen comes complete with everything you need to prepare your own meals and there is also a large en-suite bathroom. The apartment can accommodate 2 people in comfort and you can also choose to have meals prepared by the family, if you wish. Mahinda, the house owner, will happily arrange scooters, transport and local trips for you during your stay.
