We fell in love with this part of Turkey as soon as we visited it. Dalyan has a delightful combination of the traditional and the new, hosting first class restaurants and traditional pancake houses. The village nestles in the mountainous region of Mugla and local people are extremely friendly. Dalyan is convenient for Dalaman airport being only 25 minutes away and which has recently been upgraded and is open all year round. The local area The river Dalyan meanders past the 4th century rock tombs carved out of stone to the stunning sand bank of Turtle Beach. This beach is famous for being one of the remaining nesting areas for the endangered Loggerhead turtle as well as providing safe bathing for children. The views on the journey to the beach by boat or dolmus are stunning. In Spring and early Summer storks from Africa settle in Dalyan to breed and raise their young. The area has much to offer those who are interested in nature and wildlife. Travelling around The local bus (dolmus) or boat services are excellent so it is unnecessary to hire a car unless you wish to explore further afield. There’s plenty to do and see in the Dalyan locality and there are an abundance of excellent restaurants in which to eat. Car and scooter hire is very reasonably priced or, if you prefer, you could use the pedal bike provided at the villa and see the countryside at a more leisurely pace. Villa Yalicapkini complies with new Turkish regulations requiring that the property and guests are registered. We do not accommodate hen, stag, wedding parties or groups of young people under the age of 30.
