The river is rich is wildlife and is ideal for bird watching. River trips are available and include lunch. Also boat trips go from the harbour to the many beautiful bays of the Gokova Gulf. Visit the famous Cleopatras Beach and the ancient island city of Kedreai. If the wind is right you will be accompanied back by a school of dolphins. The shingle beach of Cinar is just a five minute taxi ride away from Akyaka Out & About Akyaka is situated at the end of the beautiful Bay of Gokova, tucked in between the sea and the Sakara Tepe mountains. The village has numerous food shops and a village bakery. A permanent fruit and vegetable market ensures you have the best choice of locally grown fruit.
