The "marina" of Villammare is less than 1 mile therefore you could go there walking but car is recommended because the last part of the road to the villa is steep (thats the reason why the villa has such enjoyable views!). It is not a place spoiled by massive tourism and you will find a friendly athmosphere all around and an autentic glimpse of Italy.
