Easter Cottage is the perfect holiday home for a couples retreat or family getaway. The Space: Downstairs at the recently built Easter Cottage, you’ll find a modern and comfy living area. The bright room boasts a plush and roomy sofa, as well as a large flat-screen TV. The lounge is complete with homely wooden furnishings. There are views out to the front and rear of the property from the sitting room, however you can add a cosy feel in the evening with a shuttable door being available to separate the lounge and dining area. Step into the kitchen/diner, there is a dining table which can be folded away to provide more space for you and your family during your stay in Whitby. The kitchen area at Easter Cottage is spacious and has everything you need with an oven, microwave, toaster and kettle available for your use. There is also a washing machine available to you. The kitchen then leads out onto the private, grassed back garden via two large french doors. The upstairs at Easter Cottage has two good-sized bedrooms. The master bedroom has a relaxing double bed, as well as a roomy wardrobe with mirrors. You will also notice a flat-screen TV, perfect if you are after some quiet time before bed after a busy day exploring the local area. The second bedroom in the property also has a double bed. Despite being smaller in size, there is still ample room for a relaxing stay at Easter Cottage. You will also be able to make use of the dressing table in the second bedroom. The family bathroom continues the property’s up-to-date theme with a bath, shower, toilet and sink all present. Guest Access: Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. Interaction with Guests: Were always available for our guests so please dont hesitate to get in touch. The Neighborhood: Set on the West side of Whitby outside of the hustle and bustle, Easter Cottage provides the best of both worlds. Just a short 5-minute drive will bring you to the town centre where you can explore cosy pubs, fun arcades and delicious restaurants. Take a stroll along the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff beach and try some local fish and chips. Over the bridge, you’ll find yourself on the East bank which is full of narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’. Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks. Getting Around: Whitby train station is just a short 5-minute drive away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station. There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
