Situated in undulating Algarve countryside, this pristine villa enjoys spectacular panoramic views overlooking the valley of the River Arade. The surrounding area is tranquil, the nearest neighbours being locals who grow their own fruit and keep goats, dogs, horses and chickens. There is a coffee bar in the village and horse riding stables nearby. Only 5 minutes drive is the town of Silves with its ancient red stone castle, cathedral and architecture steeped in history, as well as an array of restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets. Beyond that is the Monchique mountain, with fantastic views and traditional restaurants. The lounge is a large double aspect room with comfy sofas, air conditioning(heating in Winter), a selection of books, and sliding patio doors opening out to a covered sun terrace with steps leading down to the large private safety-gated swimming pool and enclosed gardens. There is a fully fitted air conditioned (can be used as heater in the Winter) kitchen and dining room, with granite surfaces and equipped with dishwasher and washing machine. The property also benefits from free Wifi is provided via fast cable broadband internet. There are 3 spacious bedrooms, all with air conditioning - one double bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and the further twin bedded rooms share the family shower room. There is an additional charge for use of the air conditioning/heating from November to April. PRICES QUOTED - Prices quoted are for up to 6 people per week. AIR CONDITIONING/HEATING - Air conditioning/heating is available throughout the year, at an additional charge. The villa has a large private swimming pool with roman steps, and is lit at night. It is safety gated denying toddler access. The surrounding south-facing terrace is perfect for sunbathing all day long and has superb panoramic views of the countryside. There is also a large south facing covered terrace area for lounging and barbecue for al fresco dining, the outside dining area can be lit up at night, and the mature garden is fully enclosed. Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service - All towels are provided and will be changed on a regular basis. Bed linen is changed weekly. A mid-week maid/cleaning service is provided for bathroom cleaning and other light duties. Pool/beach towels provided and changed weekly. The immense stretches of golden beaches and tourist areas of Carvoeiro, Armação de Pera, Ferragudo to name but a few are within 15 minutes drive, with many other coves and beaches all very close by and fabulous clifftop walks. The new Amendoeira Golf Course and Nick Price/David Leadbetter Pestana Golf Resort are just 10 minutes drive. The Henry Cotton Penina and Alto Club Championship Courses, Salgados Links, Palmares and the new Golf Do Morgardo courses are all within a 25 minutes drive. Discounted green fees and special packages are available on many courses. The historic town of Silves is approx. 5 minutes driving distance by car where there are supermarkets, bars, restaurants and shops. Two big water parks (Slide and Splash and Aqualand) are within 15 minutes drive, and Zoo Marine for the whole family within 20 minutes drive. The Algarve Shopping Centre at Guia, just 25 minutes drive away, offers great High Street shops, cinemas and restaurants. The villa is an ideal base for golf, walking, cycling, horse riding, surfing, bird watching and tennis holidays or just chilling out. Car hire, which we can arrange, is recommended. As a small family business we look after a few villas in the area. We live locally, and know the area extremely well. We will provide you with detailed directions to the villa before your arrival. We can provide you with local information and organise taxi or/and a car hire. We look after our guests and make sure that everything is in order in the villa. We will provide you with a list of fabulous and cheap recommended restaurants and places worth a visit. We can also tell you which places to avoid!!
