The Madonna dell’Orto Church is not far, as well as the house of Tintoretto and Campo dei Mori, and the Madonna dell’Orto vaporetto (boat) stop is perfect for reaching the railway station and the islands of Murano, Burano and the Lido di Venezia. Nearby you will also find Strada Nova (the “New Road”) with many shops, and the ancient hebrew ghetto. We recommend a day trip to the laguna islands, such as Torcello (which Hemingway loved), Burano and Murano with its famous glass art.
