The house can accommodate up to six guests. There are two floors with the following room distribution: living room, dining room, kitchen, two entryways, two bathrooms, and three bedrooms (two with double beds and one with two single beds). Further facilities include a swimming pool, private parking, and several patios. One patio features a grass lawn, and another has a table large enough to serve any meal of the day and includes a retractable patio awning. A third features a comfortable deck swing from which you can enjoy a starry night on a clear summers eve, and next to the swimming pool is a fourth patio with several deck chairs, a ping-pong table, and a rustic-looking canopy to provide you with a respite from the Mallorcan sun. Depending on the time of year, you may be able to enjoy some of the vegetables and herbs we have planted in a small garden patch. There are also three air-conditioning units for the summer months and in winter you can use the two fireplaces to add a little extra warmth and coziness to your stay. In addition, you can just switch on the electric heating. The house is furnished with pieces dating back to the 19th century, which add to its authentic feeling. You will naturally find all the electric appliances necessary to make your stay comfortable. Sa Capsana was built in the typical Mallorcan style. Written reports indicate that the buildings structure dates back to around 1850, although this is difficult to verify. Many famous and illustrious people spent time in Valldemossa at this juncture in the towns history. The tranquility typical of a rural setting changed in 1867 with the arrival of Archduke Luis Salvador of Austria. A lover of culture and the arts, he sponsored myriad artists and scientists during his time there, which elevated the reputation of Valldemossa and the town became known around the world. This turn in history also transformed the character of the house into a focal point in the area for society and business. Despite the age of the building, its beautiful natural stone façade has been well-preserved over the past 150 years, which embodies the character and strength common to the buildings in rural areas of Mallorca. The house was completely renovated in 2000 in order to afford it the comforts of todays standards, while maintaining its quintessential spirit. Surrounded by mountains, yet close to a town with a unique and remarkable history, the houses location is beyond compare if youre looking to enjoy a relaxing few days and discover the areas culture. As an alternative, we could organize a private affair or even your companys event at our house. Let your guests experience that magic moment with you, too. Furthermore, you can contact us to find out the houses availability as a film set for commercials or any other type of AV production or as accommodations for a production team or film crew. NOTES: No pool towels are provided Any kind of fire outside the house is restricted according to the time of year. Ask the property for more info.
