Tolmin, located in the Soca Valley, is the closest principal town and is a 10 km drive from our house. There you will find Supermarkets, Adventure Sports Centre, tourist office, museum, library etc. A trip to the nation’s capital, Ljubijana, is a 100 km drive away or, if you fancy a day trip to Lake Bohinj, you can drive there in approximately one hour. Alternatively, you can catch the car train from Most na Soci, which cuts through the mountains and gets you to Bohinj in 30 minutes. Bled is a further 15 minutes drive from Bohinj. However you choose to spend your time, you are guaranteed to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, flora and fauna of this beautiful, unspoilt area.
