The perfect getaway for couples and small families, Endeavour Cottage is a great choice when holidaying by the sea. The Space: You’ll be welcomed into the bright and spacious kitchen diner. Fully equipped with modern appliances and cookware, you’ll have everything you could need to prepare meals during your stay. The dining area includes a wooden table and four matching chairs where you can spend quality time with your loved ones. Under the archway, you’ll find a living space which features a comfy sofa and statement print armchair. The cottage also boasts a second living room. With a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams, this is a cosy and homely spot to retreat to after a day of exploring North Yorkshire. There is ample seating for the whole family and a flat screen TV with Freeview. The family bathroom is located on the ground floor. Clean and traditional, there is a P shaped bathtub with an overhead shower, WC and basin. Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a comfy double bed and the second bedroom is a single. Both bedrooms have premium bed linens and plush bedding to ensure you have the best sleep possible. Outside you’ll find an open patio space to the front of the cottage with outdoor seating. There is also a small, well-stocked lake secluded on the grounds of the cottage where you can catch Common and Mirror Carp, Perch, Tench, Roach-Bream and Large Sturgeon so its perfect for those who enjoy angling! Guest Access: Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. The Neighborhood: Endeavour Cottage is located between Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Marske-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast. Located just ten minutes from the centre of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, you’ll have many restaurants, cafes and bars to discover. Saltburn also boasts a beautiful sandy beach where you can take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at a 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance. Saltburn has plenty of beautiful walks too. The Valley Gardens are a maze of paths and tracks which wind through the flowers and woodland. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and Saltburn is included. If you fancy a 17.5 mile jaunt, start at Saltburn and walk your way to Sandsend. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are beautiful! Marske-by-the-Sea is just a short 5-minute drive from the cottage. The village square is packed with independent businesses, including dog-friendly cafes, pubs, micropubs and restaurants. Marske Valley Gardens has plenty of walkways lined with beautiful flowers. Head to Marske Sands and you’ll find a long stretch of gently sloping sandy beach. Getting Around: Endeavour Cottage is a short 5-minute drive from Marske-by-the-Sea and the centre of Saltburn-by-the-Sea. It is also within 30 minutes’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Middlesbrough and the North Yorkshire Moors. There are train stations in Saltburn and Marske. Both have routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London. There are plenty of bus routes throughout Saltburn and Marske. Hop on the Arriva North East route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby. The Moorsbus route has drop offs at Newton Under Roseberry, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Helmsley.
