Kaya Village is approximately 20 minutes from the town of Fethiye on the Mediterranean coast. It is known by many as the Ghost Town ;. It is a serene beautiful region, encompassing a mix of modern tourism and historical significance. Forests surround the region of Kaya, it is very close to the sea and is very fertile and lush. Of interest are the white stone houses and ruins in which many civilizations throughout history have inhabited. The first recorded people living here date back to the fourth century BC and has gone through the Lycian, Roman, Byzanthian and the Ottoman periods. After the Greek-Turkish War, and exchange agreement was signed by the Turkish and Greek governments and Kaya Village was abandoned. Now it is preserved as a museum and consists of hundreds of rundown but still standing houses and churches.The area in which the Albatross Villas are situated in on the way to Gemmiler Beach, a few minutes drive from the village and also close to the area of Oludeniz, a popular area for tourism.
