The 12th century church of Saint Nicholas, which in ancient times had a defensive role, lies at the centre of the village. Close by is the famous "Cingle to Tremolat", a bend in the river offering magnificent panoramic views of the Dordogne valley. The medieval town of Lalinde (14 km), with its little lake ideal for picnics and lively Thursday market is also worth a visit. Sarlat (44 km) bustling narrow streets and medieval buildings steeped in culture and history, is a must visit for all. The region boasts the world renowned Bergerac appellation wine area which covers 12,700 hectares. Wine has been produced in the region for well over 400 years.
