Alternately, a visit to Nürnberg or Plzen, the birthplace of the Pilsner is recommended. The woods of the Bavarian Forest tempt you to go for long and leisurely strolls. A lot of porcelain is produced in this region. Do visit one of the porcelain factories during your holidays. Theatrical and musical events take place in the ancient castle of Thierstein during the summer months. The 3,000 square metre large garden offers enough space and privacy if you want to just stay back and relax.
