The holiday village Schwarzholz in typical Bavarian village style is located on an attractive hillside, overlooking the Bavarian forest. All the apartments are modern and tastefully furnished. The location is ideal for hikers and bikers. Those desiring to go on a stroll can explore the village called Viechtach only 10 minutes away. St. Engelmar ski resort with 12 ski lifts, ski and snowboard school is situated about 10 km away. Children can play happily in a children’s playground with football field, or in the childrens playroom, petting zoo, Indian village and seasonal childcare in Bear Club. In-house swimming pool, sauna and steam room are available for free. However, solarium, boat and bicycle and sledges are available on hire and are chargeable. Daily entry to the largest fitness and wellness studio in the Bavarian forest (about 15 minutes by car) is free. It offers childcare, sauna, tennis / badminton hall (racquets are available on payment of a fee). Canoe adventure tours and bus trips (to Prague, Munich) are offered. Breakfast or half board is available locally. Children between 8 and 15 years are offered adventure holidays (seasonal): In collaboration with NATURE CAMP, a range of activities like knots and raft, ladder climbing, construction of fireplaces, archery, facts about the life, survival in nature, torchlight hikes, campfire evenings and many more are on offer. Wi-Fi is available at the front desk. The pool is closed for maintenance from mid-November to mid-December. Information on different options. Pets are allowed on request.
